Piaceri Italiani has selected two qualities of Coppa specially for you: Coppa di Parma IGP, a masterpiece of local tradition, which owes its unique flavour to the meat being rubbed with salt, natural flavours, pepper and spices, and then its ageing; and Piaceri Italiani Coppa Piacentina DOP, a delicacy in Italian cured meats, made from pigs raised in Emilia Romagna and Lombardy, which stands out for its soft texture and sweet, delicate flavour, with a very light hint of spices thanks to its dry curing, carried out exclusively by hand, and its ageing process in underground cellars for a minimum of 180 days.
Our Felino Salami IGP is produced using the best cuts of pork, from pigs born and raised in Italy. Salt, natural flavours and peppercorns are added to the roughly chopped meat, giving it a soft texture and a sweet, aromatic flavour; while our Piaceri Italiani Strolghino Salami, a speciality of Parma, is a sweet, tender, lean salami thanks to its short ageing process, with hints of pepper and nutmeg. Instead, our Gran Filetto Salami is made from a balanced combination of 100% Italian pure pork tenderloin, prime cuts of Italian pork, salt, pepper and flavours. It has a delicate taste, not very salty, but with a persistent aroma. Finally, our Piaceri Italiani Pancetta Piacentina DOP is made from pigs born and raised in Emilia Romagna and Lombardy, and its production involves two characteristic phases: dry curing carried out exclusively by hand, and ageing in an underground cellar for a minimum of 120 days. Its flavour is sweet and delicate, with a soft, melt-in-the-mouth texture.
Our Piaceri Italiani Coppa di Parma IGP is excellent as a starter or main dish, accompanied by bread or hot toast with vegetable paté, or as an ingredient for quiches and stuffed pizzas; while you can enjoy our Coppa Piacentina DOP served on lightly toasted bread with butter, accompanied by mixed vegetables, or as a filling for crêpes and cannelloni. Our Piaceri Italiani Salami can be best savoured cut into thick slices on warm bread, or as a refined appetiser, along with taralli, artichoke dip and rustic vegetable paste. Thanks to its soft texture, our Strolghino Salami is also ideal as a ragù, to top a delicious pasta dish. Try our Piaceri Italiani Pancetta Piacentina DOP sliced on lightly toasted bread, accompanied by mixed vegetables, or paired with potato timballo or polenta.
